Western Civ 2

Today we took notes on the Roman government vs the US government. They are a lot alike and our government was basically based off of their government. The main differences were how many people were in each branch and how long they could stay in those positions. Also again I'm ready for school to be over!

Today we took a bunch of notes on Rome. I am really determined to get a good grade on this test so on the way to practice I was studying with my mom. I was quizing her to see if she knew any of the information which she didn't and then she would quiz me on the way back to my house. It was pretty funny actually.

To be honest, school is just really getting on my nerves and I am always so tired because I'm always staying up late to study something... especially the days I have soccer practice. I just want summer to come really fast so that I can actually sleep like a normal human being.

So today we watched parts of a movie about Alexander the Great and I actually enjoyed it. Mr. Schick I'm guessing really likes Alexander the Great because he would always stop the movie and talk about it. He seemed extra into it. For me today has been pretty okay. I'm pretty tired but other than that I haven't had a bad day. Hope you all are having a good day.

Today was finally the last day of presentations! Emily's group went today and they did a game show kinda thing. The acting wasn't the best but that made it even funnier than it was supposed to be. After that was over well all just kind of sat around and did nothing. I watched soccer on youtube but yeah that was kind of it. My practice was canceled tonight so I can actually get some sleep for a change!

Today we had even more presentations... this is taking forever! James had to finish his because we saw his video yesterday, but he never explained what was happening in the video, so that's what he did in the beginning of class. Then Mark's group went and it was basically just gummy bears on sticks... nothing impressive. Lastly there was a monopoly game that I played in. No one was paying attention and I have to say they weren't very organized with their project.

Today me and Ange did our presentation. Last night I threw together a really quick slide show so that our thoughts would be a little more organzied and it would add a third visual to our project. Because my email was acting up, I had to borrow a USB from someone to get the power point from my laptop to Mr. Schicks. It went a lot better than I thought, and I asked Mr. Schick after school if it was A worthy and he said yes!

Today we started our presentations in class. First was Emma B's group and they had to go first because they had food that they couldnt let go bad. Their project was the Greek diet. Not gonna lie the food was pretty good. Then it was Alec's group... there are no words lol. They did a "Say Yes to the Toga" where they were all wearing togas and they would go in the hallway to change whatever props they were using. Basically they were acting out a bunch of different gods and goddesses. Their presentation took like 20 mins... it was crazy!

So over the weekend Angela came over my house on both Saturday and Sunday for a few hours and we worked on our project. We made a model of a Greek theatre and last night we put clay on it to make it look like it was made with cement or stones. This morning I woke up and all of the clay was cracked and some pieces were starting to fall off, but that's okay because it makes it look more realistic. Today me and Ange are staying after school to finish our tri-fold and to plan what we are going to say.
